I was surprised at my victory - ABA Fusieni breaks the silence
MP for Sagnarigu, Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, said his victory in the May 13 parliamentary elections came as a surprise.
According to him, he has assigned his members and got a promise that he will be kept, because of the good work he is doing in the area. "Honestly, I believe that my constituents have placed their trust in me. In fact, when I went to meet them, I had no doubt that they would not accept me because they told me publicly that I haveserved them well and that they will trust me and give me more authority.”
He added that he accepts the decision of the result and is ready to ensure that the NDC retains the seat in the general election as the NPP did not qualify for the seat. "I don'twant to look like a bad loser, but I think a lot of bad things happened. As a predator, I don'twant to put my party on the line, but I think I'm very comfortable. I accept the full judgment as given by Sagnariguand I will do whatever it takes to ensure that the party and its supporters retain the NDC seats. The NPP does not deserve support from the NDC,”he told Ghanaweb's Nimatu Yakubu Atouyese in an interview. The lawmaker got 333 votes, while his competitor, Atta Issah got 801 votes, emerging as the winner of the 2024 election on the party ticket. YakubuAhmed, Abdul Majeed Alhassanand Hamza Bukari Zakaria got118, 42 and 27 votes respectively.
