Man City fans think Pep Guardiola has started thinking too much ahead of Real Madrid clash
Manchester City fans fear Pep Guardiola is thinking too much about the team's Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
On Wednesday, City will play their biggest game of the season so far when they take on Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final.
With a 1-1 draw after a superb first leg in Madrid last week, City knew a win at the Etihad would help them reach the final for the second time in the club's history.
A final chance to win the Champions League, and potentially even a treble, means there's a lot of work to do in Wednesday's game.

So it's understandable that some City fans weren't happier when Guardiola touched on the subject of overthinking in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday. The City manager has been accused of thinking too much about City's major European connections in the past, such as when he employed a strange system of tactics when his side were beaten by Lyon. category in 2020.
It was the last time Guardiola could be blamed for a Manchester City mistake in Europe, but he was unable to shake off that unjust reputation.

I had the idea to do something different, just to be more flexible in attack, Guardiola told reporters when asked how he would prepare his team against Los Blancos.
"Nothing special. I don't think much about tomorrow, don't worry. It's nothing different from what we've done in the past," he added.
That's exactly what someone who thinks too much about tomorrow would say! https:

Well, it's fair to say that Pep's promise didn't help reassure City fans online.

"Tears. Too much thinking," one fan tweeted, while another said:
"Exactly what an overly attentive person would say."
Guardiola further explained:
"We needed a little better game plan, a little tweaking. Create more opportunities for our attackers - get more balls in easy positions."
However, that didn't stop his supporters from lamenting at the mention of his "O". "No Pep, no!" one fan begged, while another begged:
"Please don't think too much Pep!"

"Oh my god he's going to start Ederson at CAM," speculated one Twitter user, while another wrote:
"Don't experience anything new in a decisive match, especially against an opponent with one of the greatest coaches."
