The Premier League trophy looks set to return to the North West in 2022/23, with Manchester City just three points away from winning the title against season-long title challengers Arsenal.

City's upcoming win will see their name added to the Premier League's honors list for the season marking the 30th anniversary of the league's founding in 1992.

And so with even longer history, let's take a look at the full list of previous Premier League winners.

Which clubs have won the Premier League?

Since the inception of the Premier League, seven different clubs have won the title. Manchester United is the most successful club in league history with 13 Premier League titles.

United won the first two seasons of the Premier League in 1992/93 and 1993/94, then won eight of the first 11 seasons as they dominated throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.

The last time they were crowned was in the 2012/13 season, which was the last season Sir Alex Ferguson sat in the hot chair at Old Trafford.

Noisy neighbors Manchester City are the second most trophy-laden team in the Premier League with six.

Their first game came in the most dramatic of circumstances, with Sergio Aguero scoring a last-minute winner in the final game of the 2011/12 season to take the title away from United on goal difference. The biggest victory gap in Premier League history is 19 points that Pep Guardiola's army won against Manchester United in the 2017/18 season.

City have won the last two titles and look set to score a hat-trick this time around - a feat only achieved twice by Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have won the cup five times under Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Antonio Conte.

Arsene Wenger led Arsenal to three titles at the turn of the millennium, their victory in the 2003/04 season being the only time a team won the Premier League without losing a game.

The Premier League has presented Arsenal with the golden championship trophy in recognition of their incredible undefeated campaign. Liverpool finally won their first Premier League title of the 2019/20 season with 99 points under Jurgen Klopp, while Blackburn Rovers won the league in 1994/95 with the striker's help. Alan Shearer and coach Kenny Dalglish.

But perhaps the most incredible moment in Premier League history was when Leicester stunned the football world in the 2015/2016 season.

Just narrowly relegated last season, Claudio Ranieri led the Foxes to the league title with a score of 5,000-1, 10 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal with stars like N'Golo Kante and Jamie Vardy. and Riyad Mahrez.
