The second act of the highly anticipated Champions League semifinal between Manchester City and Real Madrid is about to begin.

Round one in Spain was captivating to watch as City recovered from behind to defeat Sevilla 1–1, with Kevin De Bruyne's goal sending the match home to Manchester.

Now that the second leg has arrived, Real Madrid's manager Carlo Ancelotti has cautioned his team that they must be ready to "suffer" in order to get to another final.

For all the talent on display and the individual brilliance that comes with it, there are a lot of intriguing match-ups that could determine who attends the Champions League final in Istanbul this year.

Here, CHRIS SUTTON of Mail Sport selects three crucial clashes that he is looking forward to watching again.

Antonio Rudiger vs. Erling Haaland

By the end, Rudiger's hair was covered in whatever deodorant Haaland had been wearing the previous week.

He stayed close to City's attacker while keeping his head out from under Haaland's arms throughout the entire game. Rudiger prevailed in the conflict.

In my player ratings, I only gave Haaland a five out of ten rating. The beast, however, is rarely subdued twice in a row.

row.

vs Vinicius Junior, Kyle Walker

The judges scored the match from the previous week as a draw.

Walker handled one of the finest wingers in the world admirably, but you can't let your guard down even for a second when facing players of Vinicius' caliber. However, that does not imply that Walker was at fault for the goal.

What defenders are made of is truly tested when they face off against elite attackers.

City will likely advance if Walker can keep the Samba star quiet on Wednesday night.

Dani Carvajal vs. Jack Grealish

When Carvajal pretended Grealish had hit him while they cuddled, this furious argument reached its peak.

Both must be careful not to take any actions that could result in a red card.

Grealish is able to manage that aspect of himself, but Carvajal...

He is an unyielding competitor, and after their match last week, Grealish revealed he had never before had cramp in his calves.
