Mauricio Pochettino is set to become the next Chelsea manager.
New Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has shown he's not one to take it easy and isn't afraid to offend some of the biggest stars at Stamford Bridge. At Tottenham, Pochettino's discipline is key to cultivating a positive atmosphere - and he is ready to publicly criticize players who have stepped out of the line.
Chelsea's difficulties this season make Pochettino the perfect candidate to turn the club around, as he is ready to buy underperforming players. The Argentinian is said to be close to reaching an agreement to become the new Blues manager. Pochettino told Dele Alli he must 'learn' after the striker was booked against Huddersfield in 2017. Other coaches may have taken a more diplomatic stance on the incident, but Pochettino knows. that criticizing the England international will ensure that he will. Never get into a similar situation again.
The Spurs boss then said:
“If that's the case, he has to learn. He has to learn because it doesn't help him, it doesn't help the team and it doesn't help football.

"We've talked in recent years about fair play and honesty. But I think he's improving a lot and he's learning, but it's still a point where he needs to learn."
Later during his time in north London, Pochettino criticized Danny Rose's comments about some of the club's signings. The left-back accused him of using Google to find out more about players linked to the club.
"It's not a joke. When you sign players like Eric Dier, who's playing internationally today, nobody knows him," replied Pochettino confused. "Either Dele Alli is in Ligue 1, or [N'Golo] Kante. I don't think it's a joke because with some international players today, maybe a year or two ago, none of us know them well.

"And when I came here [to England], people also wanted to know who Mauricio Pochettino was. If you remember five years ago, people were asking 'Who is Pochettino? I'm sure they used Chrome or Google or Yahoo! to learn!"
It comes amid reports that the Chelsea squad are gearing up for an "exhausting" start to pre-season training under Pochettino. According to Sky Sports, the 51-year-old should demand a better work ethic on and off the pitch.
Chelsea players will therefore be keen to impress the former PSG coach. It remains to be seen whether he will punish anyone who violates his strict disciplinary rules.
