We will first order you to go to the media' - NDC told Muntaka and workers

The
National Democratic Congress (NDC) deputy secretary general, Mustapha Gbande, has criticized three party leaders for airing their protest in the post-election campaign instead of using internal party procedures.

Three
newly elected MPs, including Sam George of Ningo Prampram, Muntaka Mubarak of Asawase and Felix Kwakye Ofosu of Abura Asebu-Kwamankese constituency in the Eastern Region, all interviewed by Joy News accusing some local leaders of interference distance to the final destination. primaries instead of neutral judges. Therefore, the three called for sanctions against the leaders of this country to instill discipline at the national level that can fall on all parties.

Former
Deputy Minister of Information, Kwakye Ofosu, said these things could cause division within the party ahead of the 2024 general election. He says that their presidential candidates will be people who do not respect him and it willnot be suitable for the development of the party in the future.

But speaking on Top Story on Joy FM, Deputy SecretaryGeneral Mustapha Gbande said his three colleagues should usethe party system instead of going to the media. “I would liketo think that my senior colleagues who make complaints understand that complaints will not be removedfrom the media, so we have an internal process to deal with complaints and how to deal with them.

"That's
not to say that they don't have complaints, I want to encourage that at this time, party members must avoid words and actions that will damage the unity of the party, especially now. It comes fromthe people elected or winners,"he said. He said that if this party warns everyone as it wants, theprocess will start with them going through the establishedchannels to air their anger.

“Generally, there is a lack of discipline everywhere and the leaders we have are confident enough and in a good positionto fight the wrongdoing. Going to the media to report internal grievances is as bad as bringingthe party to justice or betraying it.

“Therefore,
the members who are offended by the decisionand the spirit of discipline should understand that it is necessary to remove those grievances through internal procedures. I have heard them say that leaders should listen toeveryone and warn people, if I am going to warn someone, I will warn the elected person first. which will run to the media to widen the crack.

He said that at this time, the party and its flag bearers are determined to unite all people, especially those who won the election.

“I think we've done the election, and overall it was a really good election. Are people interested?Yes. Are there any problems?Yes. Our goal is to focus on the wider interest. These complaints are from those who survived the election. I don'tthink that's a big deal. The biggest problem is those who lost it. Therefore, the effort of the local leadership committeeis to address the concerns of theelected people and how to raise the winners of the election so that we can move forward as a family.

"They shouldn't
be running around in the media complaining about how they'vebeen treated unfairly. They won the election, they survived the idea of compromise, theysurvived the vaccine, theysurvived criminals, what remains and the most important thing is that. we push them to achieve their goal, their goal is to win the election. Hesaid that the leaders of the country are more than able to invoke their powers to restoresanity in the party, explaining that "if you are not careful, the time you invoke such powers, you could have fired everyone, that's why we encourage people to use the internal systemwhere we accept each other and allow our differences not to harm the collective interest of the group.

According to him, the National Executive Committee is working hard to unite the party around the flag to ensure unity ahead of the 2024 elections.

He added, "We do not support or oppose
conflict because conflict will always be a part of politics, and when it comes, for us as judges and arbitrators, work we are to give justice to every one of those who complained." Meanwhile, the head of the political science department at the University of Ghana, Prof. Seidu Alidu, wants the NDC to resolve these internal grievances before the elections. According to him, the fact that experienced politicians are open to the media about their concerns means myproblem
