Kevin De Bruyne has been named the Premier League's highest-paid player as a new report breaks down the league's top 10 earners.
The Belgian is expected to be paid ÂŁ400,000-a-week by Manchester City for his services, which equates to almost ÂŁ21m-a-year on the contract he signed in April 2021.
De Bruyne still has more than two years left on that contract, meaning he will recoup ÂŁ42m before it expires - and that's the case he doesn't sign a new contract before that time.
Three City players feature in the top 10, with Premier League record holder Erling Haaland second, earning ÂŁ375,000 a week and ÂŁ19.5m a year. He will earn close to ÂŁ100m from the club when his contract expires in 2027. Advertisement
Haaland is on par with Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, whose contract expires at the end of this season. He is expected to have to sign a new contract but his salary will be cut by almost half amid his recent poor performance under Erik Ten Hag.
Jack Grealish, who has begun to find his footing at City this season, is ninth on the list, earning ÂŁ300,000 a week and ÂŁ15.6m a year.
Some of the more intriguing names include Jadon Sancho, fourth, earning ÂŁ350,000 a week on his five-year contract, while Chelsea duo Raheem Sterling, eighth, and Kalidou Koulibaly, 10, earned ÂŁ325,000 and ÂŁ295,000. -a -week respectively.

Meanwhile, Raphael Varane is seventh on the list, earning ÂŁ340,000 every seven days to feature in United's defence.
The newest player, also tied to Sancho and therefore Casemiro, is Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who has two years left on his current contract - signed last summer - and earns ÂŁ350,000 a week, the equivalent ÂŁ18.2 million per year. , only football activities.
