Kevin De Bruyne has been named the Premier League's highest-paid player as a new report breaks down the league's top 10 earners.

The Belgian is expected to be paid £400,000-a-week by Manchester City for his services, which equates to almost £21m-a-year on the contract he signed in April 2021.

De Bruyne still has more than two years left on that contract, meaning he will recoup £42m before it expires - and that's the case he doesn't sign a new contract before that time.

Three City players feature in the top 10, with Premier League record holder Erling Haaland second, earning £375,000 a week and £19.5m a year. He will earn close to £100m from the club when his contract expires in 2027. Advertisement

Haaland is on par with Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, whose contract expires at the end of this season. He is expected to have to sign a new contract but his salary will be cut by almost half amid his recent poor performance under Erik Ten Hag.

Jack Grealish, who has begun to find his footing at City this season, is ninth on the list, earning £300,000 a week and £15.6m a year.

Some of the more intriguing names include Jadon Sancho, fourth, earning £350,000 a week on his five-year contract, while Chelsea duo Raheem Sterling, eighth, and Kalidou Koulibaly, 10, earned £325,000 and £295,000. -a -week respectively.

United midfielder Casemiro joins team-mate Sancho in weekly earnings and he will also earn more than £50m at the end of his contract in 2026.

Meanwhile, Raphael Varane is seventh on the list, earning £340,000 every seven days to feature in United's defence.

The newest player, also tied to Sancho and therefore Casemiro, is Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who has two years left on his current contract - signed last summer - and earns £350,000 a week, the equivalent £18.2 million per year. , only football activities.
