In the Ahafo-Ano North municipality of the Ashanti Region, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister of Education, has been formally installed as the next Nkosuohene of Tepa.
This occurred during a festive event that was attended by members of the family, close friends, and directors of the ministry's many agencies.
The celebration was arranged to thank him for his enormous contributions to Ghana's education since becoming a deputy minister in 2017.
The minister was enstooled with the stool name Nana Yaw Osei Adutwum I after receiving assistance from the Queenmother of Tepa, Nana Konama Danpon III, to complete the necessary procedures of enstoolment.
Ritual
As the rite came to an end, well-wishers, chiefs, elders, and even members of the public applauded fervently For the historic occasion, crowds flocked to the Tepa Palace.
The National Disaster Management Organization's (NADMO) Director General, Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh, attended.
The new Nkosuohene has received praise for his accomplishments in the education sector during his brief tenure with the ministry from Nana Adusei Atwerewa Ampem I, the Paramount Chief of Tepa.
He said that Tepa had benefited from his influential and revolutionary leadership, which had allowed both the wealthy and the underprivileged in society to get free secondary education.
According to the Paramount Chief, the minister had distinguished himself as a minister in charge of a crucial area around which national growth revolved and hence merited recognition for his illustrious leadership.
Challenges He appointed Dr. Adutwum as the Tepa Senior High institution's development leader, pointing out the numerous difficulties the institution has and urging him to take action to modernize it.
Dr. Adutwum made a statement in which he expressed his gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him by the chiefs and residents of Tepa and vowed to support the Paramount Chief's initiatives to quicken the town's growth.
He continued by saying that the Tepahene was a visionary figurehead who was already driving the development of the Traditional Area and that collaborating with him would speed up progress in the region.
The Nkosuohene declared himself prepared to collaborate closely with other chiefs in support of the Paramount Chief's development efforts.
