In order to defeat Real Madrid and get to the Champions League final for the second time in three years, Bernardo Silva has revealed how Manchester City was able to achieve it.
The defending Premier League winners destroyed Los Blancos 4-0 in the second leg of their semi-final on Wednesday.
Silva got things started with a pair of goals in the first half, and Man City went on to win the game thanks to late own goals from Eder Militao and Julian Alvarez.
After the game, Silva emphasized to BT Sport that his team's mental toughness and frame of mind allowed them to advance at a level where they failed last season.
"For us, this is a lovely night. Although we knew it would be difficult, it was fantastic to defeat Real Madrid at home by a score of 4-0. Hopefully, we'll prevail.
"We are aware of their resilience. They pushed us, but we were quite resilient and at the time organized while being enthusiastic.
"I didn't perform as well as I had hoped to in the first game in Madrid, so I wanted to make up for it. I tried my best to perform better today for my teammates and the audience.
I may be little, but my head is sharp.
Silva said that he had followed the Nerazzurri throughout the season in preparation for the final versus Inter in June.
"I watched their games; their defense appears to be well-organized and strong." Although it may be difficult, we will try," he continued.
We want to win the Premier League alongside our supporters once more, so we'll try to get better before then.
This weekend, Man City can clinch the Premier League title by defeating Chelsea or by hoping that Arsenal loses to Nottingham Forest.
If Bernardo Silva insists on leaving this summer, Manchester City won't stop him, but they will expect that their entire estimation of him be satisfied, according to 90min.
