Don't forget the work of judges in the police station - said the police

A circuit court in
Adentan has ordered the police not to act as magistrates at the police station during reporting.

“Don't take the job
of judges toyour various police stations. Present the cases as they are, in court.

A
court presided over by Sedinam Awo Balokah gave the warning when it ordered the36-year-old driver, Justice Antwi, to sign a 12-month probation for breaking the law against another driver in rush hour for passengers at Terminal Three which. Kotoka International Airport.

Antwi, known as the IGP, is on bail and will spend
12 months in prison. This is after Antwi said that he knew the details of the charges of causing illegal damage.

The court was told that during the fight between Antwi and the plaintiff, Shadrack Adjei, both were injured. The court asked the police officer why they hadnot paid both the accused and the plaintiff and the police officer replied that hissuperiors told him to charge Antwi.

Antwi,
in his explanation, said the plaintiff bit him during the fight and used his car key to injure his face. The court, in its decision, convicted Antwi on his plea, saying that Antwi'sexplanation proved his guilt.

Detective
Eric Ransford Abban, who arrested Detective Gloria Ayim, said that Shadrack Adjei and Judge Antwi, aka IGP, were taxi drivers operating as floating taxi drivers at three bus stations. of Kotoka International Airport. Prosecutors said Antwi and Adjei lived in Flowerpot Spintex and Kasoa respectively.

On
February 24, 2023, at about 11:20 p.m., Adjei, the complainant, presented at the airport police station with severe injuries and blood flowing from his face. Prosecutors said Adjei receivedmedical complaint form from the police to seek medical attention and make a complaint.

He
said the complainant led the police to Terminal 3, KIA, and Justice Antwi was arrested and taken to the police station. The police said on February 24, 2023 that Adjei and Antwi were near the lobby, KIA to appeal topassengers.

He
said Antwi went to the passenger first, while the complainant came in a group of three. Unbeknownst to the complainant, the passenger Antwi was talking to was part of a group of three passengers.

He
said this led to a misunderstanding between the plaintiff and the defendant. Prosecutors said the plaintiff and defendant threatened to fight and were ordered to leave by a security guard at the immigration office.

He
said that in the parking lot,the complainant and the defendant got into a heated fight and the defendant stabbed the complainant several times in the face and neck. He said that Antwi, who was convicted, admitted to thisin his warning letter in the investigation.
