Stonebwoy says his main goalwhen making music is to make sure his work meets international standards and canlast a lifetime.
Reggae dancehall's 17-track album 5th Dimension was released on April 28 to criticalacclaim. The album debuted at number eight on the Billboard World Reggae Chart, a weekly list that ranks the most popular reggae albums in the United States based on sales and popularity.
It features international music icons including Stormzy, Shaggy, Tiwa Savage, Mereba, Jaz Karisand Angelique Kidjo. Speakingon PM Express, Stonebwoy saidthat in order to achieve the quality of his music, he invests a lot of money in top music producers all over the world to do his work.
The Jugglers and Guilty Beatz were just a few who provided technical support for his album. "I really want to work to reach a level of international standards that will last a lifetime. That was my thinkingwhen I created all these things and brought the highest experts on board in because itgives him the benefit he should have," he said. He added that with this kind of investment, awards like the Grammys will not be as easy as before.
"And then, underneath that, maybe, the Grammys will be there, the Bill's board will be there knocking on the door if you work at that level. So that'smy goal.
