The Wesley Grammar Senior High School's Old Students' Association has presented their alma mater with two finished projects.
Two 10,000-liter water storage tanks and a one-bedroom self-contained dwelling are the projects, which will make it easier to store water inside the school for the use of both students and administration.
The presenting ceremony was a component of the yearly old students' homecoming festivities conducted on school grounds.
Projects: The 1987 and 1994 Year Groups carried out the projects on behalf of the organization.
The dwelling unit was constructed by the 1987 year group, while the water storage units were provided by the 1994 year group.
Alfred Addotei Cofie and Professor Peter are the chairpersons of the 1994 and 1987 year groups, respectively.
As they took turns presenting the initiatives on behalf of their groups, they declared that, as alumni, each group was steadfastly devoted to helping their alma mater whenever feasible.
They said that, given the value of education and the influence that schools had on their personal development, it was crucial to support education so that it could continue to reshape and lay a strong foundation for future generations of students.
In order to persuade more year groups to continue supporting the school, the old students asked the administration to adequately maintain the initiatives.
commitment, appreciation
Barbara Juliet Tekyiwaa Thompson, the headmistress of Wesley Grammar SHS, expressed appreciation for the assistance and gesture and vowed to enforce a stringent maintenance culture to make sure the initiatives achieved their goals.
She informed the older pupils, "There is much to be done on this compound, so whenever we ask you to come, we hope you will answer our call."
health stroll
The school's pupils and staff joined the old students for a health walk before the presentation.
More than 200 people joined the walk, which departed from the school at 7 a.m. and proceeded through Dansoman's main streets before returning to the school's grounds.
They were joined by a brass band that played upbeat music to create a lively environment and inspire the athletes.
After two hours of walking, the group completed the exercise with a 30-minute aerobics session to improve everyone's cardiovascular health.
Condition of our school
The walk was meaningful for the association, students, and staff, according to Alexander Konadu, national president of the old students.
As part of their yearly homecoming events, he claimed that physical activity not only provided them with health advantages but also allowed them a forum to organize as an organization and develop policies targeted at improving the school overall.
He explained, "The health of our school here implies that as old pupils, some of us left at 50, 40, 30, 20, and for that, we need to look at the health of the school in terms of infrastructure and others.
