It’s Extremely Easy’ – Brain Jotter Talks Collaborating with Ghanaian Comedians

Nigerian content creator and comedian Brain Jotter has shared his experience working with Ghanaian comedians, describing the collaboration as “extremely easy.” Jotter, known for his popular comedy skits, is currently in Ghana for the premiere of a stage play titled You Play Me, I Play You, directed by actor and producer Fiifi Coleman. The play, which will be staged at the National Theatre and Bukom Boxing Arena on November 8 and 9, 2024, features a stellar cast including Ghanaian comedians Clemento Suarez and Jeneral Ntatia.

In an interview with 3FM Drive on November 1, 2024, Brain Jotter spoke highly of the ease of working with his Ghanaian counterparts. He specifically praised Jeneral Ntatia, noting how his professionalism and energy had made the entire process smoother. “Jeneral Ntatia is making the work extremely easy. It’s more like one take, one go. All thanks to Jeneral and the director, they are making it extremely easy for us,” Jotter said.

This marks Brain Jotter’s first experience participating in a stage play in Ghana, and he expressed his excitement about the opportunity. “When I got the call, I thought this was a good opportunity because a stage play in Ghana was the first of its kind to me. I did it for my fans in Ghana, and this is an opportunity to meet those people,” he shared.

The play You Play Me, I Play You is a socio-cultural satire written by the late legendary Ghanaian playwright Efo Kodjo Mawugbe. It tackles various issues within society with a comedic touch, offering a satirical take on contemporary Ghanaian life. The production is being produced by Africa Arts Network, and it promises to be an engaging and entertaining performance.

Jotter’s involvement in the production marks a significant collaboration between Nigerian and Ghanaian comedians, reflecting the growing unity and shared creativity between the two nations’ entertainment industries. The cast, which includes Clemento Suarez, Jeneral Ntatia, and Brain Jotter, is a blend of Ghanaian and Nigerian talent, showcasing the regional synergy that is becoming more common in West African entertainment.

The upcoming stage play, which will be performed at the National Theatre and the Bukom Boxing Arena, is highly anticipated, and fans in Ghana can look forward to a memorable cultural experience with an exceptional cast and a unique fusion of comedy from both sides of the West African entertainment scene.
