Following his heroics in bringing Manchester City back to the Champions League final, Bernardo Silva is desperate to make things right.

The playmaker from Portugal scored twice as City defeated Real Madrid 4-0 in the second leg of their semi-final on Wednesday to advance to the Istanbul championship game against Inter Milan.

Two years after their devastating loss to Chelsea on the biggest night in European club football, City is back in the final, and Silva wants to make sure the outcome is different this time.

"The Champions League final is always an unbelievable occasion," the 28-year-old stated.I've only used it once, and the result wasn't that satisfying for me. Let's try to alter that.We are aware that our opponents are a formidable squad. "We're going to study them, follow the manager's plan once more, and try to, individually and collectively, put out the best possible performance, like this, to be as close as we can to winning that game," the coach said after I watched their game on Tuesday.

City came close to winning the competition for the first time with one of their best performances in club history.

The current trophy holder and 14-time champion Real Madrid was unable to counteract City's dizzying blend of movement, speed, strength, and innovativeness.

City got off to a fast start and kept the tempo up the entire game. After 23 minutes, Silva gave them a well-deserved lead, and he added a second before halftime.

An own goal by Eder Militao and a late goal by Julian Alvarez made the final score 5-1 overall, which accurately reflected their superiority. Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid made three outstanding saves to keep Erling Haaland from scoring, which could have made the victory even more resounding.

City's performance provided sweet retribution for their semi-final loss to the same opponents the year prior.

"I'm very happy because the performance was amazing," Silva exclaimed. "We pushed Real Madrid's defense back and created a lot of chances because of the pressure we applied to them starting in the first minute."We felt the momentum we generated with the help of our workers and their spirit. It was a big assistance.
