Manchester City have booked their place in next month's Champions League final in Istanbul by beating Real Madrid 4-0 at the Etihad on Wednesday night.

Manchester City fans face huge travel costs to get to next month's Champions League final.

?Flights and hotels are full, prices are skyrocketing and many supporters are shelling out as much as £3,000 each for a modest trip to Istanbul on June 10.

?UEFA has awarded Man City and Inter Milan 20,000 tickets each to give away to supporters and another 7,200 tickets will be sold to supporters through the official website of the governing body. Tickets will cost between £60 and £600 for the best seats.

Ataturk Olympic Stadium has a capacity of 72,000 and UEFA says the remaining tickets will be awarded to local organizers, UEFA member associations, commercial partners and broadcasters. But the biggest expense is travel as flights from Manchester to Istanbul already cost £1,000 before City reached the final and hotels cost more than £500 a night. With match ticket prices and other expenses, fans will face huge travel bills as Pep Guardiola's men look to complete the treble.

UEFA is very confident that given the size of Istanbul, the infrastructure and the scale of the modern airport, the city will be able to cope. They have always denied any suggestion that the final could be rescheduled and are confident that Istanbul will host a successful event. Travel and ticket purchases have begun to rush as ticket allocation is up to the clubs. At least 20,000 Man City fans will attend this year's Champions League final

Whether payment

The issue of payment though remains a major sticking point in negotiations over a deal between the Premier League and the EFL.

?EFL bosses want to eliminate parachute payments because they demand a larger share of revenue from top flight clubs. They also insist that it gives the relegated clubs an unfair advantage over the rest of the Championship.

“The Premier League believes umbrella payments – worth around £30 million a year to clubs – make teams more competitive after promotion. But new figures show that the percentage of clubs promoted three seasons after relegation in the Premier League is actually LOWER than in other European leagues. ?Over the past 15 years, 42% of clubs have returned to the Premier League within three years and 53% within the past five years.

?But over the past five years, 60% have moved up the league after being relegated from Ligue 1. While that's 53% in La Liga and Serie A. The figures are 36 and 45% in the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 respectively.

“The Prem clubs can feel that the whole of Europe is the same, the payouts are not negative and it can be emphasized that the highest number of promoted clubs in the round the three years since relegation have in fact been in the EFL. Arsenal's new job

Arsenal have done an incredible job behind the scenes this season to improve the atmosphere at the Emirates.

?Football certainly helped, but ingenious ideas like stadium artwork and fans received emails this week informing them that the rest would appear "immediately." .
