Ryan Jack claims that it was a "no-brainer" for him to accept a one-year contract extension with Rangers.

The 31-year-old midfielder moved from Aberdeen to the Govan club in 2017, and his new contract will keep him at Ibrox for a seventh season.

"I am obviously delighted with it, it has been in the background for a little while," Jack said on the club's official website.I am thrilled to finish it before the summer so I can go work during the off-season.I have been a member of the team for a while, and I enjoy both being here and playing for the team.

When I first spoke to the manager and he said he wanted me to stay, it was a no-brainer because I am settled and so is my family.

"I am delighted Ryan has signed a contract extension with the club as we continue to work behind the scenes in preparation for next season," manager Michael Beale stated.The quality and experience Ryan has is invaluable for this group as we all look forward to an exciting summer and the 2023–24 season, and I have worked with him for a number of years, both during my previous time with the club and more recently since I returned.

Many have criticized both teams' controversial decision to reduce away allocations to a meager number in recent seasons.

The final Old Firm derby matches of the Premiership season did not include any away supporters, and Bisgrove has announced that only 800 Celtic supporters will be present at Ibrox the following season.

"Will have discussions with Celtic and Police about longer term, but that would be max next season," he continued.

The defender has had a difficult season with injuries, but last weekend's game against Celtic saw him play a crucial role.

Connor Goldson should be avoided this weekend, according to Beale. There are no further brand-new wounds.
