In the summer, the 30-year-old's contract expires.
Although Roy Hodgson believes Wilfried Zaha won't be able to play for Crystal Palace again this year due to injury, he still hopes that Zaha will decide to stay with the team.
The 30-year-old experienced a hamstring issue during last week's victory over Bournemouth, and it is anticipated that he will miss both the trip to Fulham and the season finale at Selhurst Park against Nottingham Forest.
The Ivory Coast international's current agreement expires in the summer, but Palace want to sign their star forward to a new deal that is reportedly worth over £200,000 per week.
"The injury seems to be more serious than we would like it to be, so I fear he is not likely to play again this season - but we can only hope," added Hodgson, whose own future at Selhurst Park is still up in the air after his current interim tenure.
There are numerous various grades of damage; this one is a legitimate strain, and if it doesn't go away in two weeks, it will take longer; still, it won't endanger his long-term prospects.
Zaha joined the club as a young player and is currently in his second stint there after joining from Manchester United in 2014.
Hodgson feels Palace will be able to keep him in south London despite reports that teams like Arsenal and Marseille are keeping an eye on the issue.
"The club has had conversations with him (over a new contract), and those conversations will continue," Hodgson stated.
"I have no idea how things will turn out or how far along they are in either direction.
As a Palace supporter, all I can hope for is that you will be able to witness him play for Crystal Palace after this season, but I truly have no information to share with you.
Wilfried Zaha may decide to remain at Crystal Palace, which Roy Hodgson hopes.
