Xavi has avoided making comparisons between what Barcelona have done this season and what Real Madrid have achieved.
Barcelona were crowned LaLiga Santander winners with their victory over Espanyol, just days before Real Madrid exited the Champions League following defeat against Manchester City.
"Write it down if you want to," Xavi told the press. "Write it yourself.
"We have had a great season. If you have to compare it with last year or with other clubs. This is our yardstick. Where we were and where we are.
"I would give the team a 'B'. We haven't fulfilled all the expectations. We competed very well in the Supercopa, the misfortune of the Copa, and the extraordinary LaLiga."
Real Madrid's Champions League elimination
When addressing Real Madrid's Champions League elimination, Xavi admitted that Barcelona fans would be happy Los Blancos are out of the competition.
"I imagine it will be a joy for the Cules fans," Xavi continued.
"I think City were far superior and took advantage of it. At the Bernabeu they weren't. I said that for me, City are the best team in the world right now.
"We professionals value LaLiga a lot, regardless of what other teams do. Our measure is to see people feeling this joy and excitement.
"The most valuable thing is not that Madrid lose. The most important thing is to have done things well and to win LaLiga."
After the game on Saturday against Real Sociedad, Barcelona will be handed the LaLiga Santander trophy.
"We are very proud," Xavi concluded. "The match is a celebration.
"We had an extraordinary parade and tomorrow we have the presentation of the trophy.
"But there is a game and we still have other objectives to achieve. We want to finish LaLiga on a high.""We professionals value LaLiga a lot, regardless of what other teams do. Our measure is to see people feeling this joy and excitement.
"The most valuable thing is not that Madrid lose. The most important thing is to have done things well and to win LaLiga."
