Arsenal will allow centre-back Auston Trusty to leave the club this summer, we already know.
Trusty signed for the Gunners in January 2022 from Colorado Rapids, along with MLS star Matt Turner, although he spent the rest of the season on loan at the club.
After arriving at Emirates, the 24-year-old was quickly loaned to Birmingham City, where he spent the entire season.
The Blues' campaign has been disrupted by financial troubles, with the club claiming a pre-tax loss of £24.8 million for the financial year ending 30 June 2022.

This means transfer funds are limited to manager John Eustace, with most transactions being completed only after existing players are sold. However, Trusty is a player they have loaned out and he had a successful season at St. Andrew's. The American player won the club's Men's Player of the Season, voted for by fans.
His performances have attracted the attention of a number of clubs - and Arsenal are said to be willing to sell him without playing for the Gunners.

Arsenal prepare to release defender leaving
According to Football Insider, Arsenal are ready to accept an offer for Trusty this summer to allow the defender to leave the club permanently.
Scottish giants Rangers are said to be interested in signing him, according to the same source, with coach Michael Beale looking to sign the defense and challenge existing centre-backs Connor Goldson and former Liverpool player Ben Davies. Aside from his defensive qualities, Trusty also offers a goal threat, scoring four goals in 44 appearances this season.

But he seems to have no future at Arsenal, even as a left-footed centre-back.
The Gunners now have power in depth in that role, with Gabriel Magalhaes and new signing Jakub Kiwior able to play on the left side of defense for manager Mikel Arteta.
In a club statement announcing the signing of Trusty, Arsenal said their intention was to loan the American 'to further develop' the campaign - and it looks like Rangers could benefit from the defender's progress at Birmingham.
