We could discuss Michael Zorc, who served as Klopp's sporting director at Borussia Dortmund. Zorc is in a similar circumstance and age group; he has been retired for a little longer, but I am much more familiar with him.

Roberto Firmino, a forward for Liverpool, joked that if Jurgen Klopp hadn't included him in the team, he would have been banging on the manager's door. Firmino was that determined to play at his Anfield farewell.
