Gabriel Martinelli and Oleksandr Zinchenko won't appear once again during this campaign.

Granit Xhaka's future will not be discussed until after the season, according to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

Xhaka has been essential to the Gunners' championship defense this season, but his contract at the Emirates Stadium is about to expire.

The German team Bayer Leverkusen is interested in bringing the Swiss international back to Borussia Monchengladbach, where he spent four years prior to his 2016 move to England.

Xhaka's time at Arsenal has been everything but smooth, but his manager wants to finish strong in the final two matches before turning his focus to various contract options.

"The clarity is there," declared Arteta. Since I have been the manager, he has apparently played every minute.

He enjoys a great deal of respect within the club. He is a vital and crucial part of us and has a fantastic backstory with what he has accomplished at the club while facing many challenges.

"We will talk about whatever happens, but not right now,"

Second-placed This week, Arsenal has come under fire after their 3-0 loss to Brighton at home put Manchester City within striking distance of winning the Premier League five times in six years.

If the Gunners lose against Nottingham Forest on Saturday or if City defeats Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium the following day, Pep Guardiola's team can defend their title this weekend.

Arteta claimed they faced one of the best teams ever in a thinly veiled jab at their critics.

When asked if Arsenal can be title contenders again the next year, Arteta responded, "We have shown this season."

"With two games left, we still have a chance to win the title against arguably the best side in Premier League history.

"We've been there for ten months. There are still two games left, and we're not going to blow it.

The things we do, how we change, and how we begin will determine what happens the following season. Today, making that prediction is quite challenging.
