 Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife Samira Bawumia spent a lot of time on Friday campaigning for New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidateErnest Yaw Anim for Tuesday's election.

The arrival of Dr Bawumia onFriday afternoon sent the community into a frenzy, as voters young and old came out in droves to applaud and welcome the vice president and listen to the message. him. In the towns he visited, including Sekyere and Woraso, Dr.Bawumia has people who are rejoicing and happy, which made it difficult for him to move many times.

In every city, Dr. Bawumia and his entourage, including aparliamentary aspirant, first called on the traditional rulersto seek their permission and blessings before going out to meet the people. In Sekyere,where the NPP candidate hails from, Dr Bawumia presented the candidate with a symbol in front of the leaders, asking them to pray for him and bless them before the election.

 Bawumia told the cheeringcrowd how smart the NPP parliamentary candidate is and how they can get a successor to the late MP. He asked Kumawu to vote to come out in numbers on Monday to show the world that "Kumawu is indeed the headquarters of the NPP". 


Dr Bawumia and his wife are expected to join the NPP bigwigs for the funeral andburial ceremony of the late MP, Philip Atta Basoah, on Saturday in Kumawu.

The NPP will hold its last meeting on Sunday before Tuesday's election. The vice president is expected to address the planned conference, which will be attended by other major parties.
