Hearts came from behind to defeat Aberdeen 2-1 for the second Saturday in a row, maintaining their chances of finishing third in the easy Premiership, and Steven Naismith hailed both their attacking desire and character.

After a Mattie Pollock header put the Dons ahead, the Jambos were in trouble. Josh Ginnelly responded with an incredible equalizer, though, and Lawrence Shankland's 27th goal of the year gave the Jambos the win.

Naismith was pleased to see Hearts demonstrate their tenacity once more after they battled back with 10 men to salvage a 2-2 draw at St Mirren the weekend prior. His team has two games remaining and has closed the gap on Aberdeen to just two points.

despite a thrilling match at Tynecastle, Naismith declared, "We pulled through and won despite conceding the first goal, but generally I thought we played a pretty terrific brand of football for 70 minutes."Again, there has been growth in terms of my playing style. The figures, including the number of shots on target and quality chances we had, should demonstrate what I said from the start: "I want to have an aggressive team that causes more issues for the other team than they do for us.Then there is the appealing fact that we approach from behind. In those past two games, we faced risky circumstances.

Naismith praised Ginnelly's progress after the English forward increased his season total to 13 with an incredible 25-yard strike.Naismith remarked, "He has been a big player for us. "He had a lot of inconsistency and maybe lacked the drive to be really successful," said the teammate I played with him.But in the current campaign, he has demonstrated consistency, come through for us, and in the brief period of time since I took over, he has actually been a pretty good leader.

Naismith rushed directly onto the field to celebrate his win before apologizing to his Aberdeen opponent Barry Robson for not shaking his hand at the end of the game.
