Chelsea are gearing up for tomorrow's game against Man City, which will see the Blues travel to the Manchester City Stadium to face the strongest team in Europe this season so far.
The Citizens beat Real Madrid 4-0 midweek to advance to the Champions League final, and with the FA Cup final already underway, they still aim to win the treble.
Normally, in these cases, you might think that our odds have really improved. City play on Wednesday night while Chelsea rest, and their focus may be on the Champions League final rather than the league.
Unfortunately, that's not going to happen here. Pep Guardiola requires his players to give their best, and they are well trained to not take their eyes off the ball when at the top.
They have a deep squad to rotate after the week's hard work, and in fact, the win over Madrid was so complete that it felt like their team would come out on the pitch full of confidence rather than with weary feet. .
Instead of expecting an easy ride, we were really looking forward to weathering a storm here. Frank Lampard will likely drop into a five-man defence, and even that may not be enough to stop the onslaught that Guardiola is preparing for us.
