The heavily modified sports car is getting ready to tackle the Rocky Mountain twists and turns.

With a lineup of electric SUVs and coupes that will compete with the Porsche Taycan and Macan EV, Alpine intends to enter the US market as early as 2028. However, the A110 Pikes Peak, which will compete in the annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in June, will arrive on American soil earlier than that.

Alpine has released the technical specifications and details of its Pike Peak rival prior to its US shakedown. In order to bring the car's weight down to 2,094 pounds, the A110 GT4 Evo, which is based on it, has undergone extensive modifications, including the removal of unnecessary components. The 1.8-liter four-cylinder, four-pot mill received a massive anti-lag turbocharger for its rear-mounted engine. This motor is controlled by a Magneti-Marelli SRG 140 ECU, which can produce up to 500 horsepower at 7,500 rpm.

Power is moved to the back tires through a 3MO six-speed sequential transmission, sintered steel twin-plate grip, and a self-locking restricted slip differential. The car has Brembo calipers with six pistons in the front and four pistons in the rear for stopping power.

A bunch of three-way flexible High Mountain Dashing Suspension safeguards were fitted to the suspension. Michelin Pilot Sport H S5C+ tires in staggered sizes are wrapped around the aluminum rims to aid in weight reduction and overall performance enhancement.

Alpine revealed that the A110 Pikes Peak underwent extensive testing in the French Alps to replicate the historic hill climb race conditions, demonstrating the team's relentless pursuit of a great hill climb challenger. All in all, the group has hit its underlying targets and is prepared for the following transformative phase.

Since the vehicle's fluids will be drained while traveling to the United States, it will be put through its paces on a track near Denver on June 8 to check for any potential issues. As a result, it will be prepared for a major three-day test on Pikes Peak on June 911, 2023, two weeks before the actual race on June 25.

Alpine intends to perform well in the historic hill climb race in order to make a positive impression. We should perceive how well it performs versus swarm top picks like the exceptionally adjusted Radford 62-2, Lia Block's Hoonipigasus, the Portage SuperVan 4, and the Aston Martin AMR Vantage GT3, among others.
