Let everyone prove that I got a $150 million contract from thegovernment - Ken Agyapong to the detractors
Kennedy Agyapong, the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has admitted that he is the beneficiary of thegovernment deal, but insists that non-members are benefiting more than him.
He warned during the media blackout in the Ashanti regionthat many false reports have caused him to receive large government contracts, so that he is able to donate and restore important things. KennedyAgyapong, who is currently theMember of Parliament for Assin Central, said two opposition supporters who he said had a big deal. The two, he told members of the Ashanti region loyalists, are Ibrahim Mahama and Michael Zormelo. Ken said that it was some legislators, heads of offices and even ministers who were spreading the rumors of the contract that was given to him.
“They should come and show me where I got the $150 million deal, if I got that kind of deal. They cannot be more gratefulto those who have helped the party.
“I served, served and served, but you finally gave a contractto the NDC and peddled the liethat Ken Agyapong was given a contract to meet the needs of the electoral commission. If they don't engage in purepolitics, I'm not as soft as Alan,"he said as the crowd cheered.
Alan is talking about former trade minister Alan Kyerematen, who is also a front runner for the NPP flag bearer field this year. People believethat Agyapong, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and Alan will lead these people when delegates are called to elect a successor to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
