Duffuor campaign for the NDC parliamentary candidate in Kumawu
The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor has joined the DemocraticNational Congress in Kumawu in the Ashanti region to campaign for the party's platform ahead of the local elections.
In a statement, Dr Kwabena Duffuor's spokesperson Antonio Edem Asinyo said that his boss is trying to win the Kumawu seat for the NDC. "Aspart of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) support for the May 23 election in Kumawu, DrKwabena Duffuor will join the NDC today, Friday, May 19, 2023 in the field to prepare for the election of our representative - Kwasi Amankwah.
"As a citizen of Kumawu, the former Central Bank Governorand former Minister of Finance is working hard to ensure thatour party wins this election, especially the one that affects its citizens," Mr. Antonio. He continued, "Dr. Kwabena Duffuor calls on all to supportthe party and our candidate before, during and after this election, to build our momentum going forward. all of us in 2024." Scheduled for May 23, 2023, the local elections follow the death of the MP for driving who will be buried on Saturday. NDC leaders have been in the constituency supporting the governorship candidate, Akwasi Amankwa, and his leader in the campaign.
