Another news coming in from the arrest of Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti also suggests that he apologized after assaulting the police officer and gave him an amount of N 12,000 to repair the vehicle on the very day of the event. A few days ago, Nigerian Afrobeat singer and son of the late Nigerian Musician Fela Kuti went viral after a video was captured of him on the third mainland bridge in Lagos assaulting an officer of the law in uniform.
In the trending video, Seun Kuti was seen aggressively arguing with the police officer, his wife tried to calm him down, but Seun shouted at her to get back in the car while he continued his argument, things escalated resulting in Seun slapping the officer which was caught on camera. The video was posted online and users began attacking Seun for being disrespectful to the Nigerian police force and assaulting an officer, they called for his arrest and pleaded for him to be dealt with. Seun reacting to this revealed that the officer tried killing himself and his life and hence he needed to react, his words were backed by his manager who added that, the police officer was drunk and hit Kuti’s car which left her daughter who was in the car shocked.
In a new piece of information posted by Nigerian news agency @Naija_pr, it was gathered that, after the altercations, Seun Kuti apologized and gave the police officer N12,000 naira to repair his vehicle on the day of the incident. This revelation has left social media users in shock with some suggesting that Seun lied when he posted on his Instagram story that, the officer tried killing him and his family.

“If he's a Peter Obi supporter I'm very sure these hypocrites will support his act. Nigerian citizens are a problem on their own. In other for any government to rule successfully It's very important to work on Nigerian first, I mean a kind of deliverance or something”.

“crimes aren't like civil wrongs you can resolve with an apology. Once you commit the offense, the law must take its cause. Your only saving grace would be if the authority saddled with the responsibility of prosecuting the offense declined to do so. In Seun's case, Police dey vex”.

“So, after getting angry and beating him for bashing his car, he (the aggrieved with an indented car) now gave the offender that bashed his car A12,000 to fix a vehicle.
Someone needs to make this make sense, please”.

“Seun Kuti is such a good person for apologizing and giving the policeman money. Safe to say he will be released tomorrow morning for doing the right
thing?”.
