Notre Dame girls kill Yaa Asantewaa's girls, and other two SHS to become winners of Onga cooking art 2023





The long-awaited grand finale of the high school cooking competition is over.

Four different schools with different awards and reputations won the Onga Cook Art 2023 Finals held at Labone High School. NotreDame Girls SHS dream of beingcrowned winner of the prestigious Culinary Skills hasfinally come true by beating Yaa Asantewaa, Apam SHS and Sefwi Bekwai SHS Girls SHS to win the top prize.

The competition began with a rigorous brainstorming sessionfor the four competing schools, which were divided into three rounds. At the end of the first round, Notre Dame scored 20 points, followed by Yaa Asantewaa and Apam with 19 and 18 respectively, while Sefwi Bekwai scored 12 points.


Moving on to the second round, the Sunyani based school is once again leading by one pointahead of Kumasi Princesses. At the end of the round, Notre Dame had 32 points, while Yaa Asantewaa had 31 points.

Although both girls' schools were in the top rankings, Notre Dame continued to struggleand ended up scoring 40 pointsout of 50 games. To make everything in Part B of the competition, the local goddessBono pleased the judges by doing a good job and cookingthe day, which is cooking and lunch for two vegetarian.selecting the protein of the local product of their choice in less than an hour.

The Noble Women of Notre Dame won the cup with two gold medals and 80 points. Along with the prize, the contestant received a gift from Onga and Cowbell, and a top prize of GH?20,000.00.

Yaa Asantewaa women's silver medalist with 76.5 points in addition to some products from Onga and Cowbell including cash prize of GH?15,000.00 


Regional champions
 Central Apam SHS came third with a score of 73.5, earning them two bronze medals and an Onga Cowbell memento. Zone B champion Sefwi Bekwai SHSbecame fourth with 67.5 points. They also received 2 Cowbell baskets, 2 baskets and 2 collapsing baskets from Onga. The judges, Patience Darko and chef Michael Quainoo were impressed with the creativity and ingenuity displayed by the students.
