Despite receiving still more racial slurs during Sunday's game against Valencia, Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior has no plans to leave the Bernabeu, 90min knows.
Over the past few years, Vinicius has made a name for himself as one of the world's most agile strikers. He was nominated for the 2022 Ballon d'Or after scoring 22 goals across all competitions for Real last season. This season, he has already surpassed that total with 23 goals.
But throughout the campaign, racist chants and taunts have repeatedly been directed towards the Brazilian. The recent incident at the Mestalla was only the most recent one.
In the wake of the Valencia game, Vinicius asserted that "racism is normal" within the league and openly criticized La Liga's attitude to the several events this season. "The championship that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano [Ronaldo], and [Lionel] Messi today belongs to racists," he stated.
The 22-year-old, however, has no intention of leaving La Liga because of bigotry.
Sources close to Real Madrid have told 90min that the club is unhappy at the problem's persistence. They have Vinicius' full support and are prepared to take on La Liga or anyone else to see that he receives justice.
Vinicius himself is content at Real and has no desire to leave. The player is eager to stay in the Spanish capital for a number of reasons, including his friendship with coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has a contract that runs through at least the conclusion of the upcoming season.
Since joining the team again in 2021, Ancelotti has guided Vinicius in realizing his full potential, watching him go from a gifted teenager to a key game-changer.

90min has learned from Real Madrid sources that the club is furious with the ongoing problem. They are firmly backing Vinicius and are determined to fight La Liga or anyone else to get justice for him.
