A brave immigration officer rescued two promoted officers

 Officer II (AICO II), Nurideen Abdul-Ganiew Takra, who rescued two police officers, has been promoted to the rank of AICO I by the Comptroller General of Immigration (CGI) Kwame Asuah Takyi (esq).

Two policemen from Sefwi Wiawso in the North West region, who were assigned to respond to a call of violencefrom a church, were rescued by an immigration officer, which may have resulted in the death of the policemen. It has been reported that the police have taken action against a man who attacked worshipers at the Sefwi Wiawso Anglican Church.

If it was not
 for the timely intervention of AICOII Nurudeen Abul-Ganiew Takra, an immigration officer stationed at the North West Regional Immigration Office, the investigator and the agencywould have killed the perpetrator violence that is currently in prison. With this development, the officer was promoted during a decoration ceremony at the immigration headquarters in Accra.

AICO I Takra, a police officerstationed at Sefwi Wiawso in the North West Region, received high praise for his quick response. The head of the Department of Migration at the Ministry of the Interior, Mr. Dominic Afriyie Agyemang,speaking to the home secretary,Ambrose Dery, described the act of overcoming fear as heroic and commendable to save the lives of two police officers and bystanders.

Mr. Agyemang lamented therecent tragic incident whichresulted in the death of some workers, saying that "recently the killing of a young serviceman in Ashaiman and the immigration officer inBawku is still fresh in our memories, but should not stop the police from fighting for peace. and unity for our country, citinenewsroom.comreports. AICO I Takra received awards, certificates and citations to support his heroism.

COP Doku called on other security personnel, especially the GIS and the Ghana Police Service, to strengthen relationships and develop a better sense of unity as they share the common goal of maintaining peace and security
