Ghana's EOCO chief is now the vice president of the AfricanAnti-Corruption Agency 


The
 Director General of Ghana's Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah (Ms) is now the Vice President of the Executive Committee of the Anti-Corruption Bureau in the African Commonwealth.

It
 was raised at the three-day conference of the 13th Commonwealth Regional Forum for African Anti-Corruption Bureau Chiefs heldin Seychelles. COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa until his promotion, firstserved as the head of the anti-corruption office which had representatives from Botswana, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Nigeria, from Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia.

The Seychelles Anti-Corruption Commission has beenconfirmed as the new chairmanof the Association of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Africa. In his speech, he lamented that lack of funds and recruitment offinancial experts is a major problem hindering the fight against corruption.

“Our problem is the same when it comes to our fight against corruption. There is a similarproblem with finance and hiringfinancial professionals. We have seen that there are alsodifferences in political matters. He said.

An important program has been
 identified to work on. "Inour declaration, we promisethat we will face these challenges and we will strengthen our empowering work. We will take this fight to the next level. We will make sure that we will share the programs that we think are innovative with those workingin other countries of the African Commonwealth and that we canalso use the models they have tosupport each other. ,” said de Silva.

The African
 Commonwealth Anti-Corruption Commission aims to increase youth education and public awareness of the effects, damage and cost of corruption, as well as topromote integrity and accountability in civil service and reporting in Seychelles. . This release also seeks to promote leadership, honesty, selflessness and innovation, and to highlight the quality of theoutgoing MLA (Malitarian Legal Aid).

Member governments are also encouraged to enact and implement effective, open and transparent procedures for the declaration of assets by officials, supported by provisions on honest assets and the recovery of local value for future processes.
