Gary Neville has been praised for a bold prediction for Manchester City earlier in the season.
City won the Premier League for a third time in a row on Saturday as second-placed Arsenal lost to Nottingham Forest and then lifted the trophy at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday after beating Chelsea.
Arsenal have been at the top of the table for a total of 248 days, but near relegation at the end of the season and relentless pursuit from Man City have made Pep Guardiola's side crowned champions once again.
Neville predicted the outcome months ago and was criticized, but has now been proven correct.

"Man City are going to win this league with 10 points," Neville told The Overlap in preparation for the team's 4-1 win over Arsenal in April. "They'll be two points behind you, they'll kill you at the Etihad. Honestly, seriously."
The former Manchester United defender was criticized in the studio but continued to defend his stance.

"No, what you don't realize is that honestly, at the end of the season in the last five games, when they're ahead of you, if they're ahead of you, and suddenly, you're going to lose two games and they're going to win and At the end of seven or eight games, you'll only get further to the finish line. I have seen that many times. Honestly, if City were ahead of you with five to 10 games left, they could have won by 10 points."
A month later, the gap could eventually reach 13 points, with City now seven points clear with two games remaining, against Brighton and Brentford. Meanwhile, Arsenal have only one match left at home against Wolves.

"Gary Neville saw the future," one fan wrote on Twitter, eager to support Neville for his much-criticized statement.

"I hate Gary Neville but of course an eight-time Premier League winner knows what it takes to win the league," another said.
However, others think the call is obvious. "Only the people who don't see this happening are Arsenal fans," said one user.
"Only Arsenal fans think they CAN win. It's always a chasing team and Man City are too strong to hold back when chasing," another added.
