Vinicius Jr 'exposes' La Liga in new racist campaign video
Real Madrid striker Vinicius de Oliveira Junior has released a video compilation of the racist abuse he suffered during the La Liga 2022/2023 season.
His video aims to reveal how he was harassed by some racist clubs during the season, but no action has been taken against the perpetrator. The full video contains the name of the venue, the lyrics of the song and the date of each event.
Clubs featured in the video include Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, ??Rayo Vallecano, Valencia and Mallorca. In the words of the video he posted on Twitter, he wrote: "Every environment away from home is a bad surprise. But there aremany this time. Death, a hanged doll, many criminals screaming... All recorded. \"But this word falls on the "outliers", "the fan." No, these are not isolated cases. They are stories that continue to spread in manycities in Spain (and even in TV shows).
“The proof is in the video. Now I ask: how many of these racists have their names and photos exposed on the website? I answer simply: zero. No one will tell a sad story or publicly apologize for those lies.
"What does it take to destroythese people? But punish the club in the game? Why don't supporters pay La Liga? Doesn't television take the trouble to air this bad behavior every weekend?
"The problem is very serious and communications are no longer working. Don't blame me for criminal justice.
"You're not a football player, you're not human."
The Brazilians' awareness follows their recent racist abuse at Valencia in Real Madrid's 1-0 win. He received support from fellow players, former playersand other members of the team.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino also released a statement to express his condolences to the player. Meanwhile, La Liga, in an immediate statement, said itwould take "legal action" if hate crimes were detected.
They also asked people to send more footage of the incident to help them investigate.
