The 3-person trial involvingAisha Huang began on June 6 



The Criminal Division of the Accra High Court has set June 6, 2023 for the commencement of the trial of three people believed to be with Aisha Huang for allegedly participating in illegal activities in the country.

The court presided over by Justice Lydia Osei Marfo set the date after the plaintiffs filed all necessary documents in thepre-trial proceedings of the parties. The accused are: Li We Guo, Shi Mei Zhi both Chinese and Nana Kwame Opoku, known as Obolo, a Ghanaian who is accused of conspiring to carry out illegal bombings. 

Although
 Li Wei Guo (the first defendant) and Shi Mei Zhi, (the second defendant) are partners, it is alleged that they carried out mining without a license and false representation to get a residence permit. Li Wei Guo, the 1st defendant is also charged with false representation to obtain a work permit. 

Nana Kwame Opoku alias Obolo is accused separately offacilitating the participation of non-Ghanaians in illegal mining operations. Two Chinese nationals and all Ghanaianshave pleaded not guilty.



According to EIB Network Legal Affairs Correspondent, Murtala Inusah, the two Chinese are in pre-trial detention at Nsawam Prison while the third accused,a Ghanaian, is free on bail forthe sum of 500,000 GHc andtwo people. Following therequest of the defense lawyer Lucy Ekeleba Blay, Freddie Blay's guardian, the Court ordered the Nsawam prisonauthorities to provide them with the medical file of the 2nd accused.

He said, the National Security opened an investigation and as a result, the officers arrested the 1st and 2nd defendants andanother Chinese and a Vietnamese, from their residence in Paraku Estates near Daaban. , Kumasi in the Ashanti region and started research. . .
