Kumawu Election: No Consent Forced Akufo-Addo andBawumia to Go to Kumawu - Isaac Adongo
Bolgatanga Central MP Isaac Adongo has slammed the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), saying bringing the president and deputy Kumawu ahead ofthe general election shows that the government is not committed to the government and its members.
This, he said on Metro TV'sGood Morning Ghana and GhanaWeb looked into it. Afterthe funeral and burial of the late local MP Philip Bosh, the NPP launched a massive campaign for MP aspirant Ernest Yaw Anim to solicit their support in the local elections.
But Isaac Adongo believes that the law shows that the struggle against the government is going on because they have not fulfilled their promises. "The culture of Kumawu should not be the competition of greatnessthat we see today, it is not Akatsi North or Bolgatanga Central, it is Kumawu. The fact that the NPP is bringing together the president and vice president in Kumawu says a lot about what what happened. It tells you that it is a badgovernment in its field,” he said.
He is bringing the deputypresident and the president to Kumawu ahead of the local elections, he said, which only highlights the divisions in the party. "But if something like this is hot, the president should stay with the vice president as they wait for good news. The reason why they all came down to Kumawu, it shows that they worked hard the ability to make people happy," he added. Kumawu regional seat is hotlycontested by four candidates.
