According to a Twitter influencer @Asiwajulerry who waded into the ongoing case of Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti who was arrested and charged to court over assault on a police officer in uniform, Seun is currently facing this hard time because he blasted and they making a scapegoat of him by giving him a tough time in this period. He also added that Sen has also blasted the people who could stand up and fight for his freedom.
“He has blasted the government and they’re making a scapegoat out of him. He has blasted the people that could have stood up for him. It’s sad to see the son of the Great Fela Kuti being paraded like a hardened criminal.
People with far more heinous crimes don’t even get paraded like this.
A big lesson to learn from his story, I hope he learns some lessons too”.
Seun was arrested on the 13th of May 2023, after a video circulated online of him assaulting a police officer. Upon his arrest, Seun revealed the police officer tried to kill him and his family hence his reaction.
