Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, is the most recent figure to weigh in on Vinicius Junior's racial slurs.

The outcry was global as a stunning eleventh investigation alleging racial abuse targeting the Brazilian was initiated, and it has since been the main topic of conversation in Spain as well.

The manager of Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez, denounced racism and urged sport to examine its pervasive culture of deriding players and managers. Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, concurred with Xavi but also favored taking immediate action.

Diego Simeone, the head coach of Atletico Madrid, told MD that Spain has a chance to alter things up with this opportunity.

We now have the chance to take action to advance. Let's look at the persons [engaged] in these ongoing problems. Because we are talking about 19, 20, and 23-year-olds, it goes considerably further. They are young boys who lack knowledge of their own actions. It's a terrific chance to declare "enough is enough," therefore I would seize it. Everyone in Spain becomes acclimated to a very high standard of living, so anyone who doesn't will have to view football differently.

When asked if this was a tipping point for Spain and Spanish football, Simeone declined to go further and suggested that education be the answer.

I don't want to stray from what I already said. Everyone wants to lend a hand. We must assist. We must provide assistance from our positions in a variety of circumstances. Do not be misled; the issue is social in nature, not a football one. You must take action there.

Following the game, Vinicius said on Twitter that Spain was a "racist country," which drew a lot of criticism. Simeone did not hold the same opinion.

Spain does not have a racist culture. It is obvious that you can increase their visibility when these circumstances occur. Although those of us who are exposed to it are more visible, this is also present on the street. For me, it's not a

regardless of what takes place at a stadium, it is on the street, and young people need to be looked after.

Simeone was asked about the racial insults Diego Costa endured while living in Spain, but he refrained from digressing.

"I make no excuses, and I'll concentrate on what occurred in Valencia. Similar to what happened with Real Madrid, it is far deeper and greater. You are aware that it occurs with the players, coaches, referees, and linesmen.
