Tom Glick is expected to resign from his position as the club's president of business after only 10 months, according to sources, adding to the turmoil at Chelsea.

In July 2022, Glick, who had previously served as Manchester City's chief operational and commercial officer, joined Chelsea.

Glick was given the responsibility of leading the club's global commercial strategy, boosting revenue, and increasing fan interaction by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

Glick, who was the CEO of Derby County before moving on to Man City, might be on the verge of quitting Stamford Bridge after just 10 months.

The Times reports that Glick will quit the club this summer once Chris Jurasek becomes their new chief executive.

Boehly reportedly intended to parachut in an ally from his business empire to help the club with its problems, according to a recent Sportsmail article.

The US billionaire entrepreneur believed that a new chief executive was the best way to address the crisis by making significant changes to the backroom team.

Boehly and the board reportedly hired Jurasek, who was a former employee of Clearlake Capital, which fronted the buyout alongside the American.

Jurasek is reportedly in charge of running the club's business operations. Glick is therefore likely to quit the Premier League's powerhouses.

According to The Times, Chelsea officials declined to comment on Tuesday when asked whether Glick had resigned from his position at the club.

Glick served as chief executive of Derby County for four years until leaving for the reigning Premier League champions in 2012 to join Manchester City.

Before spearheading the establishment of the Charlotte Football Club in Major League Soccer, Glick had worked with the New Jersey Nets and the NBA.

Before joining Chelsea, Glick served on the boards of the Football League, the FA, and the Professional Game Board in addition to being the president of the NFL's Carolina Panthers club.

The club's former chairman Bruce Buck, sporting director Marina Granovskaia, technical and performance advisor Petr Cech, and chief executive Guy Lawrence all left after the takeover, and Glick was appointed in 2022.

As a result, Glick took over the club's daily operations, replacing Granovskaia, and took over the club's business strategy, replacing Lawrence.

However, it seems as though Glick will leave Chelsea's management this summer and be replaced by Jurasek.

In addition, this summer will see the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino, who will replace Frank Lampard as the club's head coach after Graham Potter was fired.
