Bayern Munich youngster Jamal Musiala is this season's 21-year-old and under player of the season when using the scoring participation measure.
Jamal Musiala has shone in the Bayern Munich squad since entering the first team and this season he has once again been the spark in a lackluster season.
Musiala has scored a total of 24 goals and assists in the Bundesliga so far this season. The Germany international has scored 11 goals and has 13 assists in 32 league appearances. This record is even more impressive when he is only 20 years old and is a professional midfielder. The second best player aged 21 or under in Europe's top leagues this season is Arsenal's Golden Boy Bukayo Saka. The Englishman has greatly contributed to Arsenal's success this season as his goals helped them qualify for the Champions League after a long absence from the European Cup.
This season, Bukayo Saka has scored 13 goals and has 11 assists. However, his 24 goals have come in 37 league games.
The third best under-21 player in Europe's top leagues this season is Montpellier striker Elye Wahi. The 20-year-old French player has scored 17 goals and provided six assists in the French league this season.
Fourth on the list is Reims star Folarin Balogun. The American striker has 22 goals in Ligue 1 this season. Fifth on the list is Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli, who has scored 15 goals and provided five assists in the Premier League this season.
Here is the full list of the top ten players aged 21 or under in Europe's top leagues this season:

Ronaldo was 'punished', former Man Utd star 'crazed' demanding 'back' with European giants 'contact'
Former Man Utd striker Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be 'crazy' about 'returning' to Europe but he could be 'punished' by Al Nassr if he pursues a departure.
The Portuguese international left Man Utd at the end of last year. He was disqualified after he repeatedly head-butted head coach Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman is looking to take United in a different direction and Ronaldo doesn't appear to be in his plans.
Ronaldo repeatedly refused to be substituted and his contract was canceled by mutual consent before the January transfer window. The 38-year-old continued to move away from Man Utd last summer after not being able to participate in the Champions League. Chelsea and Bayern Munich were among the clubs linked to him, but he ended up staying with the Premier League giants.
Ronaldo has finally been released after lashing out at Ten Hag, Ralf Rangnick and the Glazer family in a scandalous interview with Piers Morgan.
He then put pen to paper on a deal to join Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr. His contract runs until 2025 and it is understood he earns around 200 million euros a year. Ronaldo has scored 13 goals and 2 assists for Al Nassr but he has considered a return to Europe. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports that he 'can't take it anymore in Saudi Arabia'.
This striker "crazy" wants to leave Al Nassr despite still having 2 years on his contract.
Ronaldo will "realize the reality of the Saudi club" and "the current situation in the country where the infrastructure is far from modern society".
His 'clear goal' is to 'return to Europe', but the report claims Al Nassr will 'punish' Ronaldo if he leaves before his contract expires. They add.
"If Ronaldo decides to leave without cause, he will have to compensate the club for the remaining two years of his contract, as set out in FIFA's Regulations on the Status of Player Transfers." stipulates that “in all cases, the party terminating the contract undertakes to compensate for damage”.
Last week, businessman Markus Schon 'contacted' Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich to let them know he wanted to 'sponsor a deal' for Ronaldo.
