Winning more trophies is the desire of every club in Europe. This forces the club to ensure that they earn more points in the matches they play. Here are the top 6 clubs in Europe's top 6 leagues with the most consecutive titles won in football history.

1. Bayern Munich - They won 10 consecutive Bundesliga titles from 2013 to 2022. Having more creative players in the squad helped them dominate the German league.

2. Juventus - They won 9 consecutive Serie A championships from 2012 to 2020.

3. Olympique Lyonnaise - This is the 3rd club with the most consecutive titles in the top 6 European leagues. They won seven Ligue 1 titles between 2002 and 2008.

Real Madrid and FC Porto each won 5 consecutive championships in the top 6 European leagues in football history. Real Madrid won five consecutive La Liga titles from 1986 to 1990 while Porto won five consecutive Primeira Liga titles from 1995 to 1999.

Manchester City and Manchester United each won three consecutive Premier League titles in football history. Manchester United won the EPL title between 1999 and 2001 while Manchester City won the last three EPL titles. The Citizens have been crowned Premier League champions 2022/2023.

Man Utd take over:

Erik ten Hag wouldn't be crazy to reject Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani's Neymar plans if he bought the club this summer.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag assesses Bournemouth's game

Manchester United could benefit from Neymar's availability this summer if Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani completes the takeover. The PSG striker is said to be on the Qatari billionaire's radar as an early signing should he buy United from the Glazer family.

However, Erik ten Hag has three big reasons to challenge Sheikh Jassim's blockbuster plans ahead of the second season of Old Trafford's rebuild.

United took a chance with some of the top names that have aged as short-term solutions over the past decade. Several have produced mixed results, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo.

But the others - and the season two syndrome of the trio above - should be proof enough for Ten Hag to turn down the chance to add Neymar to his attack.

Express Sport's review of three experience failures suggests that signing the 31-year-old this summer would risk tarnishing the culture Ten Hag has built so far.

Radamel Falcao

On the last day of the transfer window in September 2014, Louis van Gaal signed Radamel Falcao to join Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie as strikers during their final years at Old Trafford.

Falcao has been on loan for a season after United paid AS Monaco Ł6m, with an option of Ł43.5m to buy him next summer.

The Colombian veteran earns around Ł265,000 a week but has only scored four goals in 29 appearances in his short stint.

Bastian Schweinsteiger

A year after Falcao arrived, Van Gaal experimented again by looking for Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The 30-year-old was then part of a dual contract with Morgan Schneiderlin. Both were equally bad at Old Trafford.

Fans welcome Schweinsteiger, a legend of football, but the Ł14.4m sum is not suitable for English football, he has only played 36 times in two seasons.

Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez goes down in history as one of Manchester United's worst signings of all time. It seemed crazy to lure him from Arsenal on a free transfer in January 2018.

United beat Manchester City to sign him by offering him a staggering Ł500,000-a-week salary, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan set to go the other way in a swap deal.

The fan hype was out of scale - the announcement of that piano only added to the anticipation. But it is clear that he has surpassed his best record, scoring five goals in 45 appearances over two seasons.

It amounts to more than Ł4m per goal, a terrifying portrayal of United's debacle under the watchful eye of former executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
