"I ordered my sons to take care of you" - Wontumi slams Kwaku Duah for allegedly slapping anNPP official.

Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as PresidentWontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has spoken about the alleged assault involving independent candidate Kwaku Duah during the election of Kumawu recently closed.

They will not be able to force
Kwaku Duah to see if they will be able to force him in the future. N'oge gara aga, a thief and a young man na-akwado ya iwu ka ha mee ihe megide Duah maka ebubo grain onye wordNPP grain on the road ntuli aka.

They cannot assume
that the release of many details ofKwaku Duah, whose work was released, means meeting with your family in the ministry. "You know that independent person slapped someone? He was angry. He slapped someone in an Anglican school near the prince's palace. He was heartbroken because what happens in the general election is different from the local election. It's a different game."

\"The independent candidate is disappointed because he has lost all his supporters.\"

"If
I was in my old ways, I would have ordered my children to do it, but I decided to hand him over to the police, otherwise I would have abused him. He wonthe election, I can confirm that,"adomonline.com quoted him in an interview with Adom TV on May 23, 2023.

Chief
Wontumi insisted that he had changed his tactics and allowed the police to handle the case. Meanwhile, Ernest Yaw Anim, the candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), won the Kumawu by-election held on May 23, 2023.

The vote, which initially seemed inconclusive, finally declared the winner. Ernest Yaw Anim got 15,264 votes, or 70.91% of the valid votes. Kwasi Amankwaa, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, got 3,723 votes, or17.29%. Kwaku Duah, an independent, won 2,478 votes, or 11.51%, while another independent of the same name managed to get 62 votes, or 0.29%.

Mr. Paul Agyemang, the Regional Returning Officer, announced the results, showingthat 34,790 registered voters,with 21,527 valid votes, or62.45%. There were 204 rejected votes.

Some happy NPP supporters, speaking to GhanaWeb ahead of the government announcement, expressed confidence that the NPP candidate will win by a largemargin. They explained that their decision not to questionthe independent candidateKwaku Duah was based on their investigation which showedthat he is not affiliated with the NPP party despite what he said earlier.

"He
told us he was part of the NPP but we found out he was lying," some of his supporters told GhanaWeb.
