PREMIER LEAGUE: TABLE AND MATCH REVIEW AFTER WEDNESDAY'S GAME IN ENGLAND

Julio Enciso’s remarkable leveler secured Brighton & Hove Albion's place in next season’s UEFA Europa League as Manchester City’s Premier League winning run was curtailed at 12 games by a thrilling 1-1 draw on Wednesday night at Amex Stadium.

The 19-year-old Paraguay forward discharged a thunderous, swivelling effort into the top right corner from 25 yards seven minutes before the break to mathematically safeguard the Seagulls' sixth-place finish in the English Premier League. Phil Foden had earlier put the newly-crowned Premier League champions ahead at the Amex Stadium with his fifth goal in as many starts against Brighton.

However, despite bringing back a host of big names, Pep Guardiola saw his formidable side decline points for the first time since February 18 after Erling Haaland’s 79th-minute header was denied due to VAR sighting a shirt pull on Levi Colwill. Manchester City's boss was angered by that decision and later shown a yellow card by referee Simon Hooper for his ongoing assertions.

Arsenal news: Edu handed double Man City transfer update as Chelsea braced for Mason Mount bid

All the latest Arsenal news and transfer gossip including updates on Joao Cancelo, Ilkay Gundogan and Mason Mount

Your Arsenal morning digest on Thursday, May 25.

Cancelo transfer boost

Arsenal have been given a boost in their summer transfer pursuit of Manchester City's Joao Cancelo with Pep Guardiola's stance on his possible exit seemingly clear.

However, signing Cancelo could be a game-changer for Arteta and those hopes of bringing him to the club look to have been boosted with Guardiola's exit stance made clear by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Gundogan stance

The Gunners have shown recent interest in signing Gundogan, but Barca's long standing links with the German international could help them in a possible summer race.

The German midfielder remaining at Etihad Stadium is possible, but if a move away is agreed, his own preference on where he'd like to go has been revealed.

Mason Mount bid

With the Blues looking to avoid losing Mount on a free, a transfer this summer looks likely with Arsenal also interested, though his future could still be decided by the next manager.

While that is being understood, the Daily Mail reports that Manchester United are preparing a bid for the England international in the coming weeks.
