Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has called on Manchester United's new owners to learn from the mistakes of Todd Boehly's disastrous first season as Chelsea owner.
"At the moment, the Premier League is a gathering place of good players and top managers," Ten Hag said in his pre-match press conference ahead of United's clash with Chelsea on Thursday night.
“Also [it's about] money. It's all here in the UK. It makes for a great competition but it's a tough and tough competition and you have to do the right things. “You can have money, but you have to spend it smartly and you also need to have the right strategy behind it, because otherwise money won't work.
“When there is no strategy behind it, or the strategy is wrong, money doesn't work.
"I think we're on the right track, but I also think we can also learn from the season and we have to evaluate it after the season and draw the right conclusions for the future. And that's it. what we'll definitely do then." season.

Man Utd very interested in signing Barcelona defender
News Jules Kounde
Koundé is sought after by Man Utd
The Reds bolstered their central defense with Lisandro Martinez last summer and he's a great buy.
Erik ten Hag is eyeing another big-name centre-back and Fichajes insists they can focus on pursuing Kounde from Barca.
The Frenchman only joined Catalan giants Sevilla last summer but has already looked at the club's future.
Kounde has been signed with guaranteed regular game time at centre-back but has largely played out of position this season. He has made 21 of 38 appearances at right-back and he could face a new challenge this summer.
United are one of the clubs monitoring his situation and they could take an approach to win his signature.
However, it may not be cheap. Barcelona can wait for at least 80 million euros to sanction his departure.
