Chelsea set to demand more than £80 million for Man United and Liverpool target
Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze received his first international call on Wednesday.
The winger has been called up to the England squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.
Several top players have missed out on a spot in the squad, including Chelsea's trio of Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell and Reece James.
All three Blues stars are injured, while teammate Raheem Sterling is also absent after discussing fitness with manager Gareth Southgate.
Mount, 24, has not played for the west London side since February due to a pelvic injury and faces an increasingly uncertain future at Stamford Bridge. The midfielder has been heavily linked with leaving the club this summer but it doesn't look like he will come cheap.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea will demand more than £80 million for the England international.
Mount would cost more than £80m if he left Chelsea this summer
Romano says new Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen for Mount to stay at Stamford Bridge but is unlikely to sign an extension to his current contract.
Mount's current deal runs through the summer of 2024, but negotiations for an extension have so far not progressed.
With that in mind, Chelsea could sell the player this summer instead of losing him for free next year. Premier League rivals Liverpool have been closely linked with a move to Mount, but Romano claims Manchester United are also interested in the former Derby County loanee.
Making his first-team debut for Chelsea in 2019, Mount has now made 195 appearances for the London side.
The midfielder has scored 33 goals and has 37 assists in all competitions but it looks like his time with the club will come to an end this summer.
