Professor Michael Kpessa-Whyte, a professor at the University of Ghana and a failed National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP, explained a recent tweet referring to the transformation of the Supreme Court into a Dumb Court. Thecritical words were announcedon May 19, 2023 on Twitter lamenting the state of the justice system and accusing it of oneness and irrationality.

Three days later, the academic and politician posted two tweets indicating that people contacted him about the content of his tweets which were clearly linked to the justice system of Ghana.
His first comment tweet read: “Thank you to everyone who asked about my tweet fromMay 19, 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, I am following court rulings in many countries, therefore, not saying that tweets cannot be applied in Ghana. It has something to dowith developments elsewhere,including in the United States.We live in a global community."
