The Supreme Court has become a dumb Court: I am not talking about the Ghanaianjudiciary - Kpessa-Whyte explains. 



Professor Michael Kpessa-Whyte, a professor at the University
 of Ghana and a failed National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP, explained a recent tweet referring to the transformation of the Supreme Court into a Dumb Court. Thecritical words were announcedon May 19, 2023 on Twitter lamenting the state of the justice system and accusing it of oneness and irrationality. 

They managed to turn the
Supreme Court into a Court of Stupidity. Intelligence is now a rare commodity. One of the main causes of death in democracy is one aspect in the administration of justice. Our judges need instruction in political philosophy and ethics. Time will tell!” the tweet read. Three days later, the academic and politician posted two tweets indicating that people contacted him about the content of his tweets which were clearly linked to the justice system of Ghana. 

His first comment tweet read: “Thank you to everyone who asked about my tweet fromMay 19, 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, I am following court rulings in many countries, therefore, not saying that tweets cannot be applied in Ghana. It has something to dowith developments elsewhere,including in the United States.We live in a global community." 



\"My friends, many
 of you have called to express concern about my safety following my recent tweets. . I am now focusing on development outside of Ghana," he stressed. 

His tweet was written less than 24 hours after the Supreme Court of Ghana ordered parliament to remove the name of NDC MP, James Gyakye Quayson, from its records,citing irregularities in his nomination and election. 2020.
