Ablakwa has condemned 'shameful' vote buying in Kumawu local elections

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has strongly condemned the alleged vote rigging during the recently concluded election in Kumawu.

Ablakwa expressed his deep concern over this practice, stressing that it undermines the principles of democracy in the country. According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) gave money to the people to manipulate their votes in the elections.

He described the act as shameful and damaging to the democratic system of the country. Explaining the consequences of such an act, he said it could undermine the foundations of democracy and undermine the integrity of theelectoral process.

“It
is sad to see people receivingmoney to be able to vote. This is shameful and totally unacceptable behavior. This is a serious threat to democracy. "Iwould also like to encourageour voters not to engage in such activities. Selling your vote to the highest bidder is not goodand should not be encouraged,"he advised, according to myjoyonline said. com in an interview with Joy News.
