Samuel Nartey George, the main proponent of the promotion of gay rights and theGhanaian family bill, has defined LGBTQ+ as an acronymfor various mental illnesses.

Speaking on the bill at the Supernatural Empowerment Summit held at the Perez Chapel headquarters in Accra on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, Sam George said Christians should use boldness to stand firm against moral depravity in all its forms. "First, we need to understand what LGBTQ+ means. We will reach the point of our faith that does not make us ashamed of what we supportand believe," he said.

The Promotion of the Right to Sexuality and the Ghanaian Family Bill, commonly referred to as the Ghana Anti-LGBTQ Bill, is currently pending beforethe Parliament of Ghana. In its proposal, the bill seeks to decriminalize homosexualityand homosexuality.

According to Sam George, the bill is based on four foundations: law, culture, science and religion. Eight members of Parliament, Sam Nartey George, Della Sowah, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, Alhassan Suhuyini, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, Helen Ntoso and Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, all from the DemocraticNational Congress, are proposing this new law. of the New Patriotic Party
