MU targets Kane

There is information that Man Utd will 'try to sign' Harry Kane, Mason Mount and Declan Rice in this summer transfer window.

There are many question marks surrounding Man Utd ahead of this summer. The Premier League giants are currently up for sale, and the Glazer family have yet to name their preferred bidder.

Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe appear to be leading the race to become the club's new major shareholders, but it remains to be seen what path the Glazers will take when they take over.

The club's ownership situation leaves everyone wondering how much Erik ten Hag will have to spend on players this summer. Earlier this month, it was reported that Man Utd's budget will be £ 100 million even if Sheikh Jassim buys the club from the Glazer family.

Even so, Man Utd are very ambitious with their transfer targets. Sky Sports reports that they "want to have the British trio of Mount, Kane and Rice this summer". They add.

"United's number one target is Tottenham striker Kane, the player coach Erik ten Hag wants most. "They are unlikely to sign all three players and it all boils down to an impending United takeover, with Qatari investors and INEOS' Sir Jim Ratcliffe in dispute."

"Kane, Rice and Mount are exactly the kind of characters that United boss Ten Hag wants in the club's dressing room."

The report claims that Man Utd are 'the main pursuers to sign Mount if he leaves Chelsea this summer'.

The Blues are 'ready to sell' their academy product but they 'will demand more than £70m'. That's when Kane and Rice were estimated to be worth around £100m each.

It will be difficult to sign these three players with a meager £100m budget, so they need to capitalize on some unwanted players on the team to raise funds. Harry Maguire is a sellable player and former United striker Louis Saha believes the England international "must be looking for a shot".

Saha told Paddy Power: "Harry Maguire must be looking to leave Manchester United because his form will drop because he won't be playing much.

“He needs a few minutes and his style will suit a very tight team, defending and attacking counter-attacking teams. But for now, United need a calm and agile player in the back who can maintain quality in the near term.

“If Maguire wants to stay, he has to improve very quickly and take advantage of every opportunity that comes to the team. It was a big test for Maguire. He could play for Manchester United but with players ahead of him in the squad, he won't have the minutes he needs if he wants to continue at the top.
