The 30-year-old is honest about the team's season-long struggles and fan disappointment.
Mohamed Salah, a forward for Liverpool, maintains there is no justification for skipping Champions League play.
The 30-year-old acknowledges that the team's fifth-place result this season has disappointed supporters and let them down.
The vanquished finalists from last season are no longer in contention for fourth place after to Manchester United's 4-1 victory over Chelsea.
Jurgen Klopp's team has struggled throughout the season, and their current 10-match undefeated streak—which includes a run of seven victories—is the only thing that has given them a distant possibility of earning a spot in Europe's premier club championship.
Salah, though, is disappointed since it is the first time in a full season at the club that Klopp has not finished in the top four, and now they are playing in the Europa League.
"I'm completely heartbroken. There is absolutely no justification for this, the Egyptian international, who rarely makes public remarks, argued in a stern tweet.
"We had everything we had to qualify for the Champions League the next year, but we fell short.
"We are Liverpool, and entering the competition is the very least we can do.
"I'm sorry, but it's too early for a motivational or upbeat post.
"We let both you and ourselves down."
Despite having a poor season, Salah still managed to score 30 goals. He is one goal away from breaking the Premier League record of 20 goals and 10 assists in three seasons, which he currently shares with Thierry Henry.
If he scores at Southampton on Sunday, he will become the first Liverpool player since Roger Hunt in 1965-66 to score 20 league goals for a third straight season. He is one goal away from scoring 20 league goals for the fifth time in six years at Liverpool (he scored 19 in the other).
There is "no excuse," according to Mohamed Salah, for Liverpool not making the Champions League.
